California Curriculum has been devised to align with our school’s mission and vision. The curriculum standards maximize both the students’ social integral and academic achievement. It’s a holistic approach which aims at building the physical, social, and psychological whole being of the learners.
The adopted text books are in alignment with the curriculum. The different publishers like Scott Foremen, Houghton Mifflin, McGraw-Hill, Zander Blower, Harcourt and others serve to meet the multiple levels and measurable tasks required in the curriculum itself. Educational textbooks, materials, services, teaching aids, and teacher training are all in place to ensure the effective implementation of California Standards. Though Curriculum Standards are particular, teachers tailor multiple methods to approach different learning styles.
As a result, learners have their mental and cognitive skills sharpened through the tasks manifested in the standards of the curriculum. Learners are divided according to age categories, where each age demands different instructional objectives. The core subject and extra-curricular activities that act as incentives to nourish students’ critical thinking serve the above mentioned holistic approach. The learners are in fact our mere mission and vision behind the curriculum itself. The three chain cycles Pre – K6, middle school and high school are interlocked to constitute a smooth transition among levels and build this helix learner into a stronger whole entity.
