Our vision is to provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children are valued as contributing individuals to society. Our Vision also aims to maximize the technological orientation across the whole curriculum and promote each student’s ability to reach a higher level of constructive thinking and to enhance student’s creativity, physical well-being, spirituality, and leadership.
School’s safety becomes evident in the availability of fire extinguishers and exit signs in the execution of fire drills, in the presence of nurses and doctors, in the existence of gate keepers, training attended by supervisors concerning fire safety, surveillance cameras that monitor school grounds, and teachers’ duty among all the playgrounds.
The school’s caring atmosphere shines lustrously through the social workers’ follow-up, the counselors’ supervision, parents meeting, the PTA intervention and last but not least the personal bonding between teachers and students.
The stimulating environment at GAI is approached through the trips, the co-curricular and extracurricular activities, (lab, presentation, movies, & crafts) fun days (sports day, hat days), awards (certificates, Omra trip, gifts), and contests (spelling bee-Math) that are accomplished in different grades.
Moreover, individuality is attained when teachers at GAI reinforce students to accept and respect differences among them. Students learn to appreciate & respect one another and different people in the community. Encouraging students to acquire the confidence needed to shape their self esteem, leads to their ability in expressing their persuasive opinions which reveals itself in their debating and writing potentials. Thus talents are unveiled and given an opportunity to appear.
Technology integration along with the curriculum becomes obvious through the usage of LCD(s), movies, and science labs. Adding up to the above are the technology oriented held competitions (Ibtikar, Ted-Ex, Botball).
As the vision targets developing students’ constructive thinking, staff at GAI affirm achieving this through instigating students’ critical thinking, literary analysis, positive attitude, proactivity, and their spirit of cooperation in all possible fields.
The students’ creativity manifests itself in projects, poster power, leading minds, and mind mapping which is practised at school.
The belief of “Perfect mind relies in the perfect body” urges the school to stress on students’ physical well being through PE periods that include a number of activities which buildup pupils’ physical as well as cognitive skills the school. Adding up to this, the school encourages participants to take part in competitions outside school. Besides assuring high hygiene measures, it also prohibits any unhealthy item found at the contain.
Spirituality is attained via several channels. We teach our students to appreciate and learn from the literature lessons that are based on multi beliefs revealed in the American curriculum that the school adopts. Spirituality gleams in the morning assembly which opens up the day for students with high morals and ethics that emphasize respecting others, cooperation among students, and appreciating friendship, which in turn are also stressed in Islamic studies and activities.
All the above qualities work one hand to cooperate together to form leadership potentials in students. This leadership exposes itself in debates, speeches, and presentation where students display great art of persuasion. Along with the above, students are given leadership opportunities such as school council president, class presidents, vice president, and prefects. They are as well given the chance to contribute in the setting of the school’s vision and mission. However, this contribution is expanded where other stakeholders are involved in the setting of mission and vision. GAI engaged stakeholders through surveying their opinions in the setting the school’s mission and vision.
